Customized private tours can be tailored to meet the needs and interests of any group. Choose from a list of tour themes, island stops and catering options or start from scratch; the islands are yours to explore!
Suggested Tour Themes:
Boston Light – Land right on the cobbled beach of Little Brewster Island: home to the first and oldest lighthouse site in the country, Boston Light.
Military History – Discover and explore the present day coastal relics and fortifications that bring Boston Harbor’s history of military use to life
Boston Harbor Renewal – See first hand the park’s largest clean up initiatives that reconnected Boston with recreational uses of its harbor.
Islands Less Traveled – Boldly go where other park visitors rarely visit. This theme highlights park preservation and the “leave no trace” initiative
Home on the Islands – Get to know what it was like to live on the islands – Learn about Native American, colonial and up to present day inhabitants.
Island Stops:
The availability of certain island stops change during the season and are subject to approval by park staff. Some of our most popular islands to visit are Spectacle, Georges, Peddocks, Grape, Lovells, Bumpkin and Little Brewster. (Note: Certain islands are crucial elements of the tour themes listed above – please let us know if you are trying to create a thematic tour)
Catering Options:
Bagged lunches can be customized and added on to any tour to fit your group’s preferences. Special catered picnics can also be arranged for Georges and Spectacle Islands only; site rental and other fees apply.
